In Mississauga, average rents for one-bedroom apartments dropped 8% year-over-year to $2,152, while two-bedroom rents fell 3.8% to $2,599. Despite declines, rents remain unaffordable, rising 5.7% over two years and 12.6% over three. Nationally, rents decreased 3.3% year-over-year, with Calgary and Toronto seeing the steepest drops, while Ottawa and Edmonton experienced slight increases. Rising supply and slower population growth are easing rent inflation.
